Management of SMEBD
The affairs of the society are managed by a Council of not less than 5 elected members, including 5 officers, and not more than 15 members in total.
The Council are responsible for the management of the Society's data, materials and products and act with due care in the release of information with regard to any prior agreements with contributors of data and the types of use such information may be subject to.
Following the last AGM to executive committees were established to manage the two existing datasets currently held by the Society namely the European register of Marine Species and Fauna Europaea
